This special partnership aims to set a new standard for sustainable international collaboration in the world of classical music.\nWith Close Connections, the Concertgebouw focuses on sustainability in all facets. Three international symphonic ensembles come to Bruges from neighbouring Belgian countries by bus and train. In addition, the five-year collaboration ensures a deeper artistic connection with joint composition commissions and residencies lasting several days. The programmes presented by the orchestras in Bruges occasionally go beyond the traditional repertoire of the usual tours.\n»Close Connections stands for 360° sustainability: ecological benefits are combined with artistic added value.
